About Us

Brian and I met at Drake University in Des Moines, IA. We were both involved at Walnut Creek Church and Campus Fellowship. My sophomore year, Brian and I got to know each other more when he was my Bible Study leader for the school year. Brian studied economics and I studied advertising and marketing.

Brian graduated in 2008 and began working at Nationwide Insurance. After graduating, he was also part of a church plant to West Des Moines where he was very involved in serving and leading Bible Study. I graduated in 2009 and began working at Marsh & McLennan. I remained at the Windsor Heights location of Walnut Creek Church after graduating.  Although we didn’t see one another as much, we continued to be at the same church (just different locations) and had many of the same mutual friends.  

Brian and I started dating in October 2012, were engaged in April 2013, and were married in September 2013!  We now live in West Des Moines and attend the Downtown location of our church. Our son, Colton Brian Nicklaus, was born on September 2nd, 2014. We are so excited to be a family of three!

Our first date was on September 6th, 2012 and we "officially" started dating on October 11th, 2012. It's an easy date for us to remember: 10/11/12!

April 19th, 2013 - I said "YES!"

September 6th, 2013 - Best Day Ever! We were married exactly one year after our first date. :) 

We celebrated our honeymoon at a beautiful resort in Riviera Maya

Baby Nicklaus was due on September 4th, 2014.

 

Colton Brian Nicklaus arrived on September 2nd, 2014 at 9:02 PM. We love being a family of three!
