4 Months

Colton is now four months old! I can't believe he has been here for a whole four months. He still seems so little! (Despite being a giant baby).

Four Month Stats:

  • Height: 25.5 inches, in the 62nd percentile
  • Weight: 18.5 lbs, in the 92nd percentile
  • Head Circumference: in the 99th percentile
  • He is hitting the developmental milestones such as having good head and neck support, cooing more, following lights and sounds, and interacting more.
Colton recently started reaching for objects, which has been really fun. He is playing more and showing more interest in his toys. He also (somewhat) actually looks at the books when we read to him.

For only being four-months-old, Colton is already showing his likes and dislikes!

Likes
  • Eating. SO. MUCH. EATING. This boy loves food. (Hence the 18.5 lbs)
  • Looking at faces
  • Smiling
  • Bath time
  • Enjoying his "diaper free" time
  • Blowing bubbles (his grandpa taught him that)
  • Being held
  • Screaming
  • Kicking his legs like a crazy baby
  • General wiggling
  • When we sing to him
  • Being in the car
  • Being utterly adorable
Dislikes
  • Sleeping
  • Naps
  • Having clothes put on him (especially putting sleeves on)
  • Spontaneous clapping (it scares him)
When Colton is fussy, he reminds me of the ghosts on Super Mario. In the game, if Mario is looking at the ghost, everything is fine.  But as soon as Mario turns his back on the ghost, it will attack him. Colton is similar: as long as you are paying attention to him, everything is good. However, instead of attacking if you turn your back on him, Colton scream-cries. (This isn't all the time: mostly when he is super tired and refusing to nap.)

Four Month Pictures

He appears to be attempting an Irish jig of some sort:

Every time, he ends up tipped over:

More Four Month Cuteness

Being incredibly offended that we didn't put his sock back on after he kicked it off:

After his check-up today

Look at how fast I can wiggle!

Ok, enough photos already.

Tummy Time Adventures

When I initially put him down on the blanket, he was facing the toy crab. Somehow we wiggled all the way around and started kicking it.

When Colton gets sick of tummy time, he "floats" on his belly and just waves his arms and legs around.

Flip me over already!
